Earth Day cleanups scheduled

Neighborhood cleanups are planned in several area communities for Saturday and Tuesday to commemorate Earth Day. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves; Earth Day Rhode Island will supply bags, and the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation will dispose of debris.

The schedule for Saturday:

Cranston: Meet at the Pocasset River at Fletcher Avenue at 8 a.m.

Warwick: Meet at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 475 Sandy Lane, at 9 a.m.
